Veena, the founder and operator of StudioVeena.Com, was born Julie Brand on a farm in the middle of nowhere in North Dakota, no, not the state with the faces, that’s South Dakota! Julie has always had an interest in movement and teaching. Early on her father would flood part of their farmyard in the winter so she could teach herself to skate on it and eventually she found herself teaching children to ice skate. Her interest in teaching led her into the personal training industry which took her and her family from Bismarck, North Dakota to Minneapolis. After getting up on a pole at a party nearly a decade ago, Julie fell in love and Veena was born. Pole provided Veena a physical and artistic outlet that she hadn’t found anywhere else. StudioVeena.Com was born from Veena’s intrinsic ability and desire to teach and StudioVeena.Com has allowed her to teach people from all walks of life, worldwide, about the beauty, sexiness and fitness that pole can bring.

Angela has been competing, performing and instructing professionally in pole for the last 3 years. In 2015, she won the Silver medal at both the Pacific Pole Championships and PSO Nationals. She received the Bronze at National Aerial Pole Art and the award for Most Artistic. With her experience in pole and work as a Licensed Massage Therapist, she embraces the mind/body/spirit connection, and advocates that movement is a facilitator for this. She is looking forward to opening a studio alongside her accomplished friend, Sarah Child. The Moxy Movement is set to open in late summer of 2016 in Draper, UT. Moxy: a force of character, determination, courage or nerve; the ability to be active. Her teaching is focused on translating individual sensuality, beauty and grace through movement, and finding presence and integrity in performance on stage. Her underlying belief as a Performer and Instructor: it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it. She looks forward to learning, sharing and continually evolving alongside this ever expanding art.
